Night Owl Software Studios ("we", "us", or "our") operates Anticipate (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.

Information We Do Not Collect

Anticipate is designed as an offline contraction tracker. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Contacts or address book data
• Photos, media, or files
• Biometric data
• Financial or payment information
• Health or medical records
• Browsing or search history

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:

• Contraction records — start time, duration, and interval between contractions
• Timer state — active contraction timer progress, so timing resumes if the App is closed
• Preferences — display settings and app configuration

This data is stored using your device's local storage. Uninstalling the App or clearing app data will permanently delete this data.

Health Data Disclaimer

Anticipate records contraction timing data to help you track patterns and estimate delivery timing. This data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Anticipate is not a medical device and is not intended to replace professional medical advice. Predictions and pattern analysis are best-guess estimates only. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services:

Google AdMob (Advertising)

The free version of the App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. The AdMob SDK, operated by Google, may collect the following data directly from your device:

• Advertising ID — Android Ad ID or Apple IDFA
• Device information — device model, operating system version, and screen size
• IP address — used for approximate location and ad targeting
• Ad interaction data — impressions, clicks, and views
• Crash and diagnostics data — SDK performance and error reporting

This data is collected and processed by Google directly — we do not have access to it. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Internet Access

Although the App is designed to work offline, it requires an internet connection for serving advertisements via Google AdMob (free version).

The App does not transmit any user-created data (contraction records, timer state, or preferences) over the network.

Device Permissions

The App requests the following device permissions, each used solely for core functionality:

• Foreground service — keeps the contraction timer running accurately when the App is in the background
• Wake lock — prevents the screen from turning off while you are actively timing a contraction
• Notifications — alerts you when a contraction timer is running in the background
• Internet access — required for serving advertisements only

Ad Personalization and Your Choices

Ad personalization follows your device-level advertising settings. You have the following options:

• Reset or opt out of ad personalization — adjust your advertising preferences in your device settings (Google Ad Settings)

Children's Privacy

The App itself does not collect personal information from any user, including children under 13. However, the free version includes third-party advertising (Google AdMob), which may collect data as described in the "Third-Party Services" section above. Ad personalization is determined by device-level settings, which a parent or guardian can configure.

Data Retention and Deletion

All user-created data (contraction records, timer state) is stored locally on your device. You can delete individual records within the App at any time. Uninstalling the App or clearing app data removes all stored data permanently. We have no ability to access, recover, or delete your data since it never leaves your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected within the App and on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
